The new Volkswagen Caddy Family is designed for families in need of the ideal combination of space, functionality and robustness at an attractive price. The new Volkswagen Caddy Family is now introduced with efficient petrol and diesel engines at prices from 34,000 euros. The new Caddy 5 is designed to cope with the daily difficulties of families on the go. Now the passenger car version of the Caddy Cargo is introduced under the name Volkswagen Caddy Family as an affordable alternative to station wagons.
The new Volkswagen Caddy Cargo and Volkswagen Caddy Family are built on the MQB platform known from passenger car models such as the Golf and Touran. The switch to the MQB platform has opened up opportunities to use the latest technologies in digitization, online infotainment systems and assistant systems.
The interior of the Caddy Family has been thought through down to the smallest detail for functionality, driving comfort and space utilization. The new Volkswagen Caddy has a wheelbase of 2,755 mm, which is a full 73 mm more than on its predecessor. This can be felt especially around the back seat, where the passengers have exceptionally generous legroom. A sliding door on each side makes it easy for rear-seat passengers to get in and out.

When the large tailgate is opened, there is access to an impressively large luggage compartment (1,213 litres) through an opening measuring 1,200 mm in height and 1,185 mm in width. If this is not enough, the rear seat can be folded or completely removed, then the Volkswagen Caddy can stock up to 2,556 litres.
The new Volkswagen Caddy Family is offered in two engine variants: the first engine is a 1.5 TSI turbocharged petrol engine with 114 hp and 6-speed manual transmission for 35,500 euros and the second engine is a 2.0 TDI turbodiesel engine with 102 hp for 34,000 euros.

The driver's seat in the new Caddy Family has been entirely changed and is 100% digitized. Various functions such as low beam and fog lights are activated via touch on the instrument panel. The Volkswagen Caddy Family comes with the latest generation of infotainment systems and is equipped with an 8.25-inch touch screen that is online thanks to an eSIM card.
