The Indian Autos Blog portal found documents for registration of the Kliq trademark owned by Skoda in the local Ministry of Industry. It is alleged that this is what the new compact crossover of the brand will be called, which was previously presented in the form of the Vision IN concept.

Several facts support this assumption. Firstly, the name fully corresponds to the “traditions” of modern naming of Czech brand crossovers, which must begin with the letter “K” and end with Q. Secondly, such a name accurately conveys the content of the “digital” concept of the crossover. Finally, the manufacturer himself disclosed information that he is working on a project developed in India, so registering the name there is a logical decision.

The foundation for the new car will be the modular platform MQB-A0. It is known that Skoda Kliq will be produced in India, but are plans to sell this model outside of India. via Indian Autos Blog.
