Ford presented information and images about 4 new models that will be presented this year at an event organized in Amsterdam. We are talking about Ford Kuga, Tourneo Custom Hybrid, Explorer, and Puma.
The Ford Kuga SUV comes with a new look and several hybrids, the classic hybrid, the mild hybrid and the plug-in hybrid. The classic hybrid version comes with a 2.5-liter gasoline engine and an electric motor plus automatic transmission. Mild Hybrid will have a power unit called the EcoBlue Hybrid 2.0-liter diesel engine of 150 hp, the electric system being a 48 V like the Fiesta and Focus. Plug-in Hybrid features a 2.5-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine and an electric motor. Combined power will be 225 hp, electric power consumption will be 50 Km, and mixed average consumption is quite surprising, 1.2 liters / 100 Km. At the same time there will also be normal units, two 1.5 liter, 120 Cp and 2.0 liter 180 hp Ecoblue. Ford will provide an automatic transmission in 8 gears. The petrol engines are also two, the capacity will be 1.5 liters Ecoboost, with 120 or 150 hp respectively. Kuga will come with front and all-wheel drive. The equipment versions are Titanium, ST-Line and Vignale.
The Ford Tourneo Custom Plug-in Hybrid comes with an electric Hybrid Plug-in system and a 1.0-liter Ecoboost engine. The battery allows 50 km of autonomy, but with a thermal engine it has a 'range extension' that can guarantee a 500-km run. The model will be available at the end of this year.
The Ford Explorer will be available for the first time in Europe, and will only be available in a Plug-in Hybrid version. The technical details are as follows: the 3.0-liter Ecoboost 3.0-liter V6 engine and 350 hp electric engine that produces 100 hp, combined to reach 450 hp, 840 Nm torque. The gearbox will be automatic in 10 reports and comes in full-drive standard.
Ford Puma was a fast but affordable coupe for anyone. Ford will bring the Puma again, but this time it will be an SUV. In the April 2 event, Ford introduced some images of the car. Ford has released a few technical details: a mild-hybrid version with the Ecoboost 1.0-liter engine powered by the BISG system, with a power of 155 hp and an average fuel consumption of 5.4 liters / 100 km. One interesting thing is that the new Ford Puma will be manufactured at the Craiova plant in Romania. The model will most likely appear at the end of this year.
