Dacia Spring wants to embody a new Renault strategy which until now concerned only one model, the Zoé. If Renault Zoe was intended to demonstrate that Renault knew how to make electric cars, the Spring wants to make electric cars widely accessible to everyone.
Despite its apparent novelty, Dacia Spring is an electric car already known, at least its Chinese version, the Renault City K-ZE. In Asia, this model is sold for less than 10,000 euros. And in Europe? The price is not yet official but it is rumoured that its price could be around 15,000 euros, or potentially less than 10,000 euros, using environmental incentives.
At this price level, what can we expect?
Dacia Spring has an electric motor of 33 kW (44 hp), a maximum speed of 125 km / h and a battery of 26.8 kWh allowing it to travel 225 km. As for the equipment, the small SUV is spartan by offering the bare minimum.
